Community Programs
The Community Program provides Respite Service and Home and Community Habilitation Service to families who care for an intellectually disabled individual or an individual with autism.
Respite Service refers to quality, short-term care for individuals so that the family caregiver(s) may have a break from the care they normally provide. Both hourly respite care and 24-hour respite care are offered, the latter allowing for the regular caregiver in the family to get away overnight if they so desire.
The Home and Community Habilitation Service is designed to help individuals acquire, maintain, or improve life skills necessary to live in the community, to live more independently, or to be more productive and participatory in community life. The goal is to help individuals work towards reaching their potential, and to assist them in gaining greater independence.
