What ex­peri­ence level do I need to work in Di­rect Care at Jes­sica & Friends? Ex­peri­ence in work­ing with adult in­dividu­als with in­tel­lectu­al dis­abilit­ies is de­sired, but not re­quired.

Are Med­ical Be­nefits pro­vided? Med­ical be­nefits are avail­able for staff who work an average of 30+ hours a week.

How often will I be paid? Our payroll is pro­ces­sed bi-weekly.

Is train­ing pro­vided? Yes, Jes­sica & Friends Com­mun­ity is com­mit­ted to en­abl­ing our staff to pro­vide the hig­hest qual­ity of care to the in­dividu­als we serve. Therefore, train­ing is viewed as an im­por­tant part of our minist­ry.

Are there any phys­ical re­stric­tions or re­quire­ments to these posi­tions? There routine­ly is a need to help in­dividu­als with vari­ous phys­ical ac­tivit­ies and some­times this may in­clude li­ft­ing or re-positioning in­dividu­als in bed, etc. You should be able to lift 50 pounds with­out dif­ficul­ty.

What other qualifica­tions are there for this posi­tion? You must be at least 18 years of age and pos­sess a high school di­ploma or equivalent.

Di­rect Care Re­siden­ti­al Sup­port Staff

Is this a full-time posi­tion? We offer both full-time and part-time posi­tions.

How many hours would I work per week? The work schedule de­pends on the needs of the home. Typical­ly our staff is as­sig­ned to work a re­gular set of hours week­ly in order to pro­vide con­sis­ten­cy of care.

What is the hour­ly rate of pay? The hour­ly rate is com­men­surate with ex­peri­ence; howev­er, our start­ing pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

What are the job re­spon­sibilit­ies? You will work with adults who each have a level of de­velop­ment­al dis­abil­ity. You will as­s­ist them with routine daily li­v­ing skills in­clud­ing eat­ing, bath­ing, toilet­ing, dress­ing, housekeep­ing, etc. You will help them learn new skills ac­cord­ing to their in­dividualized goal plans. You will show them com­pas­sionate and lov­ing care with­in a faith-based en­viron­ment.

Where will I work? You will work in our homes loc­ated in the York area.

Com­mun­ity Pro­grams Sup­port Staff

Is this a full-time posi­tion? Typical­ly, we are look­ing for part-time em­ployees who have a flexib­le schedule. There are li­mited full-time posi­tions avail­able in this pro­gram. Many of the shifts are even­ings and weekends.

How many hours would I work per week? The work schedule de­pends on the needs of famil­ies you are as­sig­ned to. Typical­ly our staff is as­sig­ned to work with the same in­dividu­als on a re­gular basis in order to pro­vide con­sis­ten­cy of care. De­pend­ing on needs of each fami­ly, and how flexib­le your schedule can be, you could work any variety of hours in a given week.

What is the hour­ly rate of pay? The hour­ly rate is com­men­surate with ex­peri­ence; howev­er, our staff­ing pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Who typical­ly re­ceives Com­mun­ity Pro­gram ser­vices? Jes­sica & Friends Com­mun­ity routine­ly pro­vides Com­mun­ity Pro­gram Ser­vices to in­dividu­als with de­velop­ment­al dis­abilit­ies. We work with adults who are 18 years of age or older. The level and ex­tent of dis­abil­ity ran­ges ac­ross the spectrum and de­pends on each in­dividu­al as­sign­ment.

Where will I work? You will work in the in com­mun­ity sett­ings and in the home of in­dividu­al re­ceiv­ing ser­vices. You must be able to pro­vide your own trans­por­ta­tion to and from each as­sign­ment. These as­sign­ments are typical­ly loc­ated with­in York and Adams Co­un­ty.

Di­rect Care - Pathway Day Pro­grams

Is this a full-time posi­tion? We offer both full-time and part-time posi­tions.

How many hours would I work per week? Pathway Day Pro­grams op­erate Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

What is the hour­ly rate of pay? The hour­ly rate is com­men­surate with ex­peri­ence; howev­er, our pay rate is $15.00 per hour to start.
