Meet The Sen­ior Leadership Team

Dr. Peter and Paulette Teague, Interim President, CEO  Peter and Paulette pictured with their daughter Jessica are Co-Founders of our organization. Peter and Paulette oversee the day-to-day operations of Jessica & Friends Community and are mentors to the senior leadership team. The leadership team upholds the vision and mission of Jessica & Friends Community and adheres to the Core Values as guiding principles. As parents of a special needs daughter, they have a unique bond with other parents of special needs children. They understand the challenges and can offer reassurance and compassion to our families.

Sandy Myers,Executive Director of Operations.   Sandy has been supporting individuals in the MH/IDD field since 1991.  She began working for Jessica & Friends Community in 2009 as a direct support professional in the Community Program.  Sandy assisted with the development and operations of both Pathway Day Programs and has served as an interim house manager.  Sandy's passion is in supporting the individuals in our programs to see them live the fullest life possible, to have lasting relationships with the individuals families and supporting agencies, and to support all team members at Jessica and Friends Community.  She was born and raised in York County, graduated from Dallastown High School and then from Millersville University with a degree in Psychology. 

Desiree Irvin, Director of Advancement.  Desiree was an HVAC engineer for 20 years prior to entering the non-profit sector.  She brings with her fifteen years of development experience.  As the Director of Advancement, Desiree oversees our marketing and fundraising efforts.  Desiree finds satisfaction in working for an organization whose core is helping individuals strive for and achieve their maximum God given potential.  Her hobbies include: Attending/watching Steelers games, travel and spending time with her friends and family.

Patrick Peters, Director of Human Resources came to Jessica & Friends Community with over 40 years of human resource management experience in both the non-profit and for-profit organizations. He has both hands-on and management experience in recruiting and hiring; employee relations / counseling; training and development; payroll, compensation strategy, and benefit design and implementation.  He has worked in the banking, legal, and church-related organizations.  Patrick also serves as Rector of Saint Paul Episcopal Church, in Columbia, PA.  Patrick is married to Danielle - 37 years and has four grown children (Kerry, Caitlin, Brendan, and Brittany) and two granddaughters (Zoey and Devon).  Patrick and Danielle live just outside of Manheim in Lancaster County.  Patrick states that he sees his work at Jessica & Friends Community as an extension of his pastoral church ministry - called by God to serve and build the Kingdom.

Neil Sunkel, Director of Finance. Neil has over thirty years of experience in accounting and finance, and has spent the last fifteen years in Christian, non-profit human services. Originally from New York City, he and his wife currently live in Harrisburg. Neil is excited to be at Jessica & Friends Community in this exciting and challenging time of growth.  Neil joined Jessica & Friends in October 2016.


Sally Janora, Ministry Support Coordinator. Sally has had a heart for the ministry of Jessica & Friends from the beginning. As a parent of a daughter with a disability, she was one of the first parents to join the Parent Support Group in 1998. Sally's desire was to serve God and bring hope to others who are challenged with various aspects of raising a child with a disability. So in 2012 she joined the Jessica & Friends Community family as the Ministry Support Coordinator. She feels blessed to be able to be a source of encouragement, support and prayer to our individuals, staff and parents.

Provide faith-based services and supports for individuals and families with autism and intellectual disabilities. We seek to be a community which affirms the worth of all people, supports personal growth and wholeness, advocates for community and church inclusion, and provides opportunities for spiritual growth and service.
